Lakehead University, Barrie and Orillia Campus, invites applications for a 9 month Limited Term Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. The academic rank of the appointment will be commensurate with the qualifications of the successful candidate. The position will commence on August 1, 2025.

Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level with an excellent teaching record and demonstrated potential for scholarly research. Candidates for the position should possess or be nearing completion of a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics. Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of course delivery is highly desired.

We are looking for a candidate with the ability to teach first- and second-year courses in Math in support of several programs at both the Lakehead Orillia campus and in Barrie in support of Lakehead-Georgian partnership programs. Lakehead offers innovative programs that integrate theoretical learning with a blend of applied skills that students need to be job-ready.
