About the Department of Child Studies and Social Work

The Bachelor of Child Studies degree invites applications for a one-year Limited Term position commencing August 15, 2025. This position will be hired into the Teaching and Service (TS) stream, teaching four courses in both the Fall and Winter semesters.

The degree emphasizes experiential learning in early learning and child and youth care, providing a theoretical foundation and valuable hands-on learning opportunities.

About the Role

The Bachelor of Child Studies comprises two programs: Early Learning and Child Care and Child and Youth Care Counsellor. We are looking to hire someone to teach in the Child and Youth Care program, focusing on counselling skills, leadership, and Child and Youth Care practice. The successful applicant will have: a Master’s degree in Child and Youth Care or related discipline (PhD preferred), a Child and Youth Care credential, and practice experience in the field.

Closing Date: Open Until a Suitable Candidate is Found. The Hiring Committee will begin reviewing applications after April 21, 2025.

Note: MFRA positions are not part of the hybrid work program.
