Job summary

Farm Boy Inc. is seeking a capable supervisor to work alongside the Department Manager and lead a high-performing team in delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

You will coach staff, run regular huddles, manage inventory, and support scheduling and payroll while upholding safety and quality standards. The role requires a post-secondary business program and at least one year of supervisory experience, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary program with emphasis in business.
• Minimum 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with clear communication.
• Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems.
• Able to stand for long periods and work in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Department Manager to execute departmental strategies and goals.
• Support team development through training, coaching, motivation, and recognition.
• Lead regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, exchange product knowledge, and provide feedback.
• Support daily operations with outstanding customer service, merchandising, staffing, and department cleanliness.
• Provide office and administrative support including inventory management, ordering, invoicing, scheduling, and payroll.
• Promote compliance with Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies and provincial regulations.
• Contribute to store success by assisting with other related duties as required.

• Promote compliance with all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations to maintain a safe and high‑quality shopping environment.
• Contribute to store success by assisting with other related duties as required.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills supported by a clear, professional communication style.
• Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems, with prior experience working with a variety of computer software programs.
• Thrive in a hands‑on setting that involves extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
