Job summary

FreshCo in Medicine Hat, Alberta is inviting applications for the Assistant Pharmacy Manager position. The role oversees a team of Relief Pharmacists and focuses on patient-centred care, customer service, and efficient workflow.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, is a licensed pharmacist in good standing in Alberta, with at least 2 years of experience. Kroll software experience is preferred and injection/First Aid certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in the province of responsibility.
• Injection and First Aid certified (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a licensed pharmacist (preferred).
• Kroll software experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Relief Pharmacists within an assigned territory.
• Contribute to patient-centred care, customer service, and workflow efficiencies.
• Prioritize prescription safety and oversee technical functions of staff.
• Initiate care plans, follow up, and document appropriately.
• Identify drug-related problems through medication reviews.
