As an Assistant Partnership and Sponsorship Manager, you will contribute to the success of the Partnerships and Alliances Team in Canada by executing specific goals, plans, and initiatives aligned with the team’s business strategies and objectives. You will ensure all activities comply with regulations, policies, and procedures.

The incumbent will be responsible for planning and executing partnerships and corporate sponsorships managed by Partnership & Alliances. Your primary responsibility will be supporting and coordinating with the Senior Manager, Partnerships and Corporate Sponsorships on strategy execution, as well as managing day-to-day client relationships with select partners. All activities must adhere to governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Is this role right for you?
  • Supports relationship management of representative group partnerships by:
    • Managing logistics and implementation of key initiatives and events: forecasting, maintaining project plans, reporting on status, and ensuring progress via MS Planner and Workfront.
    • Monitoring visibility through partnerships, including partner websites, emails, and social media channels.
    • Supporting partnership renewals and new development, including contract negotiations, partner evaluations, term sheets, contract development, stakeholder engagement, and post-signing communications.
    • Coordinating with marketing teams to develop content for external journals and newsletters aligned with campaigns and partner needs.
    • Collaborating with stakeholders in MD regions and Scotiabank for event attendance and company representation.
    • Facilitating logo approvals, brand support, swag orders, etc., with stakeholders at MD and Scotiabank.
  • Supports the Partnerships and Alliances team functions by:
    • Attending events as a representative to ensure brand messaging and client experience.
    • Performing administrative functions like budget tracking, purchase orders, invoice verification, and correspondence.
    • Assisting in gathering information for quarterly reporting.
  • Understanding the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
  • Promoting effective operations in line with Scotiabank’s values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring compliance and risk management.
  • Championing a high-performance, inclusive work environment.
The Must Haves:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in project and event management, business development, relationship management, marketing, or communications.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for relationship building and corporate development.
  • Knowledge of the medical profession and/or Canadian healthcare environment is a plus.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field is an asset.
