The Department of Economics and Finance at the University of Guelph invites applications for two tenure-track positions in finance, one at the Assistant Professor level and the other at either the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The expected start date is July 1, 2025. Candidates should have or be near completion of a Ph.D. in finance, economics, or a related field, with a focus on establishing themselves as recognized scholars with an impactful research record, and demonstrating effective teaching at all levels.
The Department is research-intensive, with 26 faculty members, offering BA, BComm, MA, and PhD degrees. It is part of the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, which delivers one of Ontario’s largest undergraduate business programs with over 4,000 students. The successful candidate will develop an independent research program, secure funding from federal agencies, and demonstrate pedagogic excellence in teaching and supervising students.
