Job description

As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will play a key role in managing and supporting the EtonHouse schools in Singapore.

Job Description

  • Assist the Senior Management Team in overseeing and managing EtonHouse schools in Singapore.
  • Actively participating in the development of strategies and executing plans to enhance the operational efficiency of the school, in alignment with the goals and objectives set by the Senior Management Team.
  • Work closely with the Principals and relevant stakeholders to support the smooth running of the schools, particularly in handling non-routine incidents and matters.
  • Handle all parents’ feedback, complaints and handle follow-up investigations arising from such feedback or complaints.
  • Periodic visits and contact with the Schools to gather and manage feedback, requests and follow-up work.
  • Collaborate closely with all relevant stakeholders to streamline and/or enhance operational processes.
  • Assist in assigned school events, e.g. Open House.
  • Work with functional groups such as Pedagogy / Marketing / Branding / Finance / HR / QA to optimise operations.
  • Work with the Facilities department to coordinate physical improvement work in the Schools.
  • Coordinate and liaise with government agencies and other stakeholders on School matters.
  • Assist in applying for and obtaining of school licenses from relevant government authorities.
  • Any other duties related to operations that may arise due to the needs of the company as directed by the Senior Management Team.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Previous experience in school operations, facilities management, or administrative roles is an advantage
  • Experience working in an educational setting is preferred, but not essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive problem-solver with a high level of initiative
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and respond calmly under pressure
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of service
  • Team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues from all backgrounds
  • Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office tools and databases
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters discreetly
