Job summary

Farm Boy is seeking a supervising team member to partner with the Department Manager to deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence. You will lead daily teams, train staff, manage scheduling, and ensure merchandising and store cleanliness while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires a post-secondary business-focused education and at least one year of supervisory experience. Fluency in English is essential; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business.
• Minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service.
• Collaborate with Department Manager to execute departmental strategies and achieve goals.
• Coach, train, motivate, and recognize team members to build engagement.
• Lead regular team huddles to share goals and provide feedback.
• Support daily operations including merchandising, staffing, cleanliness.
• Provide administrative support including inventory, scheduling, and payroll functions.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies.
• Assist with other related duties as required.

• Support team development through training, coaching, motivation, and recognition while maintaining a high level of trust, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Lead regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, exchange product knowledge, and provide meaningful feedback to build engagement and connection.
• Support daily operations by ensuring outstanding customer service, accurate merchandising and rotation, adequate staffing coverage, and consistent department cleanliness.
• Provide office and administrative support, including inventory management, ordering, invoicing, schedule maintenance, and payroll functions.
• Promote compliance with all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations to maintain a safe and high-quality shopping environment.
• Contribute to store success by assisting with other related duties as required.

• Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills supported by a clear, professional communication style.
• Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems, with prior experience working with a variety of computer software programs.
• Thrive in a hands-on setting that involves extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
