Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager supports the Shop Manager in all business areas, stepping in as second-in-command to ensure excellent customer and staff experiences, operational excellence, and sales performance.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Experience:

• Exceed sales goals and provide a unique, inclusive customer experience
• Educate customers and staff on brand values and ethical practices
• Increase product knowledge and make informed recommendations
• Understand and impact business metrics and reports

Team Leadership:

• Support and motivate the team on the sales floor
• Develop talent through coaching and leadership by example
• Provide feedback and support team growth and diversity initiatives

Operational Excellence:

• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Support inventory management and visual merchandising standards
• Manage scheduling to optimize staff coverage and wellbeing

Qualifications:

Required:

• 1-3 years retail management or supervisory experience
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethics
• Flexibility to work holidays, evenings, and weekends

Preferred:

• Experience with customer consultation models
• Staff training and development skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and other systems
• Experience with HR practices and DEIB initiatives
• Multilingual abilities
