A leading sports organization in Alberta is seeking an Assistant Manager/Senior Executive in Human Resources on a 1-year contract. The role involves managing recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a degree, at least 5 years of HR experience, strong communication skills, and is proficient in HR systems. This position supports various HR initiatives and ensures compliance with regulations.
We are seeking a meticulous and service-oriented HR professional to join our team on a 1-year contract. This role is integral to the smooth delivery of daily HR operations and involves providing comprehensive support in areas such as recruitment, employee lifecycle management, HR data maintenance and regulatory compliance.
You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive administrative support across key HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, contract administration and staff offboarding. This involves maintaining accurate employee records in both the HR system and personnel files. You will also generate HR reports and perform data analysis to support management and reporting requirements.
In addition, you will coordinate recruitment activities such as posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters and managing onboarding documentation. Compliance to HR policies, procedures and statutory regulations is key to your success in this role. You will support the implementation of HR initiatives and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
Collaboration with HR colleagues will be essential to ensuring consistent and effective service delivery. Your role will further extend to include supporting broader HR initiatives, including organising events and staff engagement programmes.
