Job summary

A local grocery and produce store in Victoria is seeking a candidate to manage daily operations, conduct performance reviews, and ensure compliance with health regulations. Responsibilities include organizing inventory, negotiating with suppliers, and developing budgets. The ideal candidate has a secondary school graduation certificate and some experience in a similar role. This is a permanent, part-time position requiring 30 hours of work per week.

Qualifications

  • Experience of 7 months to less than 1 year in a relevant field.
  • Ability to work in English.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize daily operations.
  • Conduct performance reviews.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Organize and maintain inventory.
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
  • Set staff work schedules.
  • Monitor revenues to determine labour cost.
  • Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies.
