Title: Assistant Manager - Retail

Job Details

We are a boutique bakery and retailer combining French pastry art with modern flair. We seek dynamic, skilled professionals to join our growing team. Availability: Open availability preferred. Hours: 36-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Lead sales growth and ensure positive customer experiences
  • Manage and train sales associates in sales, customer service, and product knowledge
  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Maintain store quality, merchandise, and supplies
  • Keep the store clean and organized, address health and safety hazards
  • Respond to emergencies on shift
  • Plan and execute sales promotions, maintain community image
  • Create weekly schedules considering sales fluctuations
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Current Food Handlers Certificate (willing to obtain within first week)
  • Current First Aid Training (willing to obtain within two weeks)
  • Supervisory/Managerial experience, preferably in hospitality or retail
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Register and cash handling experience preferred
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends
