We are seeking to hire an assistant manager. Past experience in a management or supervisory role is necessary. Starting wages will be based on experience. Applicants must have weekend availability. We are looking for someone who loves people, is outgoing and super friendly. Attention to detail and organizational skills are an absolute must. Sales skills are essential and a passion for inspiring the team to meet sales goals and reach the full potential of our unique business is important.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is able to use computers, social media, and surveillance systems with ease. The technology systems we use are very user-friendly, but our management team must be comfortable using technology in general to be considered for this position.

We pride ourselves on an in-store shopping experience that is more fun than anywhere else in Salmon Arm. We love getting to know our amazing customers and helping them find the perfect items for themselves or for gifts. Our ideal assistant manager will fit easily into this culture and be excited about enhancing it!

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

1. Arriving for each shift on time, with a positive attitude
2. Being cheerful and helpful to all customers and staff members
3. Greeting all customers and informing them of current sales/promos
4. Being knowledgeable about all products in our store and understanding the sales process for specialty lines we carry
5. Meeting or exceeding sales goals
6. Merchandising displays
7. Dusting, mopping, and other daily cleaning
8. Operating a POS and handling cash
9. Creating schedules
10. Receiving product
11. Managing inventory
