The Position

The Retail Assistant Manager will lead and develop a motivated team, creating an elevated customer experience. They will work closely with management to improve product selection, service style, and leadership protocols.

Requirements

• Must have cannabis experience.

The responsibilities include:

• Supervising and leading the retail team
• Training new employees
• Covering management responsibilities in their absence
• Creating schedules and managing shift coverage
• Receiving and managing inventory shipments
• Optimizing inventory with management
• Problem-solving equipment, staff, and customer issues
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Representing the brand positively
• Continuously improving industry knowledge
• Driving traffic, sales, and profitability
• Enhancing team performance and dynamics

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail management or leadership experience
• Experience in non-medical cannabis retail preferred
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related field preferred
• Minimum 19 years old, Worker Security Verification, Selling It Right Certificate
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with POS systems
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Interpersonal skills, reliability, motivation
• Self-driven, goal-oriented, ethical, and flexible availability
• Passion for cannabis and retail industries

Additional Details

• Remote Work: No
• Location: Kelowna, BC
• Workplace: On-site
• Salary: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
• Terms: Full-time, starts ASAP, 40 hours/week
• Benefits: Bonus, company events, flexible schedule
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, day/evening, Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
