About the role

As the Assistant Manager, you will lead and oversee the success of the Retail Sales and Customer Service teams at a Canadian Bank branch. Your focus will be on executing business strategies, initiatives, and individual goals to support the team’s objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and fostering a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships
  • Building and strengthening customer relationships through financial advice and customer service
  • Coaching team members for success at individual and branch levels
  • Engaging actively with staff, customers, and partners

Qualifications and skills needed:

  • Experience managing people and engaging teams
  • Background in personal banking
  • Sales management experience with the ability to promote Scotiabank
  • Strong relationship-building skills focused on client experience and growth
  • License to sell mutual funds
  • Completion of the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent recognized by the bank
  • Educational qualification to act as an Alternate Branch Compliance Officer
