We are currently hiring a Regular Full-Time Assistant Managerbased out of our Victoria Automotive Service Centre.

As the Assistant Manager, you will play a key leadership role in driving the success of the Auto Service Centre by overseeing daily operations and guiding your team to achieve goals in health and safety, financial performance, productivity, customer experience, risk management, and employee engagement. With a hands-on approach, you'll supervise and coach team members while ensuring exceptional service for our customers. You'll also champion and implement BCAA’s corporate initiatives, standards, and best practices to create positive brand experiences and build lasting customer relationships.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and coach a hardworking sales and service team, encouraging a positive and productive work environment. Set clear expectations, hold team members accountable, and celebrate successes. Partner with internal teams for recruitment and performance management.

  • Effectively communicate company goals and ensure team and individual objectives are aligned. Develop and support personal development plans for continuous improvement and succession planning.

  • Lead your team in adhering to all health & safety policies and procedures, identifying and mitigating hazards, and encouraging a safe work environment through regular meetings, PPE enforcement, and safe work practices.

  • Lead the sales and service team to achieve financial and productivity goals through new business acquisition, customer retention, optimized staffing, efficient operations, and timely service delivery, ensuring brand loyalty and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Coordinate auto service center operations, document processing, and customer interactions, ensuring compliance with policies, leading financial controls, upholding risk management practices, and addressing potential issues to minimize errors and omissions.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify and implement business-building opportunities, while growing BCAA's community profile through sponsorships, local initiatives, and sustainability efforts.

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and providing repair recommendations. Maintain positive relationships, finalize sales, and follow up with customers after service completion.

  • Collaborate effectively with technicians by providing accurate information for diagnosis and repairs. Handle scheduling systems, ensure smooth shop operations, and perform service advisor duties as needed.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of BCAA products, policies, and systems. Stay current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and attend required training to continuously improve your knowledge.

What you bring:

  • You have completed your high school diploma and post-secondary Diploma or Degree in a relevant field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • A minimum of two to three years’ of sales and service experience in the automotive industry, of which at least two years are within a supervisory role.

  • Comfortable using technology, including intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Solid track record of working in a dynamic and sales quota driven environment.

The salary range for this position is $76,000 to $80,000and is determined viajob-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 12.5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 20%.
