About the role

As the Assistant Manager, you will lead and oversee the success of the Retail Sales and Customer Service teams in a Canadian Bank branch. Your role involves ensuring that business strategies, initiatives, and individual goals are executed to support the team’s objectives.

  • Lead and foster a customer-focused culture to strengthen client relationships
  • Build and enhance customer relationships through financial advice and customer service
  • Coach your team to success on individual and branch levels
  • Engage actively with staff, customers, and partners

Do you have the skills to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Experience managing people and engaging teams
  • Experience in personal banking
  • Sales management experience and ability to market Scotiabank
  • Strong relationship-building skills focused on excellent client experience and growing existing relationships
  • A license to sell mutual funds
  • Completed the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent recognized by the bank
  • Educational qualification to act as an Alternate Branch Compliance Officer
