Job summary

Subway in Canada is seeking an Assistant Manager to focus on seven priorities: guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, staff scheduling and supervision, safety, and teamwork.

You will help manage a staff of 4–12, assist in planning events and promotions, coordinate training to ensure success, and aid with product ordering and inventory as needed. The role offers brand discounts, scholarships, and opportunities to earn university credits for hands-on restaurant experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
