Job summary

Subway Calgary is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, quality food, and a clean, safe restaurant. You will supervise a team and manage inventory, scheduling, and training as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma and restaurant experience, preferably with supervisory duties, and strong communication. Training will be provided; positions available full-time or part-time, varying by location.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Must be an excellent communicator.
• Ability to operate a computerized POS system.

Responsibilities

• Manage a staff of 4–12 including assigning and evaluating work.
• Assist in planning events and promotions and coordinate training for events.
• Assist with product ordering and inventory as needed.
• Maintain restaurant standards of safety and cleanliness.

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
