Job Overview

The Assistant Manager is the driving force behind smooth daily operations and exceptional guest experiences. As a key leader on the floor, you will coordinate staff, support kitchen communication, handle guest concerns, and ensure every shift runs like a well-oiled machine. This role is all about balancing great service with operational efficiency to keep the energy high and the standards higher. They will work alongside an amazing General Manager that has team, customer service and great food at the heart of what he does.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead daily floor operations, ensuring service excellence at every touchpoint.
  • Manage staff rosters and shift patterns, optimizing team coverage during peak periods and events.
  • Train and mentor new and existing team members on service standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen to ensure seamless service flow and food quality.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints tactfully and effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of floor and kitchen supplies.
  • Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with local regulations.
  • Support marketing initiatives, events, and in-house promotions to boost customer engagement.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings, monitor staff performance, and provide real-time coaching.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a management role within a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills—you know how to motivate a team and manage a crowd.
  • Hands-on approach with a can-do attitude; no task is too small or too big.
  • Operationally sharp with a keen eye for detail.
  • Confident in handling pressure with a calm, solution-focused mindset.
  • Deep understanding of food & beverage operations.
  • Approachable, trustworthy, and consistent—you lead by example.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality trends, customer service, and restaurant tech tools.
