Position Title :

Assistant Security Manager (Full-time, Permanent)

Location : Edmonton, AB

Role Overview :

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Security Manager to join our team in the Operations Department. This role is integral to ensuring the delivery of top-notch security services to our clients. As an Assistant Manager, you will support the client service, sales, productivity, and operations functions, while acting as the primary contact for clients. You will ensure the achievement of branch goals and contribute to operational excellence and alignment with company priorities. The Assistant Security Manager should be able to make decisions that are in the best interest of the company and take on a leadership role in the absence of management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure clients receive services as outlined in their contracts.
  • Develop an understanding of clients' businesses to identify security needs and provide cost-effective solutions.
  • Assist in supporting client service, sales, productivity, and operations.
  • Align branch goals with company objectives to drive maximum profitability and compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and external contacts.
  • Respond to client inquiries, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Perform administrative duties, including booking appointments, writing emails, and visiting clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Supervise staff, fostering a high-performing team environment.
  • Analyze business trends and reports to make strategic decisions.
  • Hire new staff when necessary and manage onboarding and training.

Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a security management role or equivalent.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • 2+ years in customer service, with experience in sales.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and adapt to changing needs.
  • Customer service-oriented with strong leadership and communication skills.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred) :

  • Driving License (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications in security management or related fields are a plus.
  • Post-secondary education in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field is advantageous.

Compensation :

  • Overtime Pay
  • Expected Hours : 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts)
