We are currently hiring for the position of:

ASSISTANT, INDUSTRY CONFERENCE

The Assistant, Industry Conference will provide essential on-site support to the Conference Manager in the logistics and delivery of Industry Conference events and programming.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shall include but not be limited to:

  • Assist with collecting materials from guests, including headshots and bios, and ensuring the accurate and timely tracking of all materials

  • Greet guests and relay important and timely information relating to run of show

  • Assist the Conference Manager in delivering on logistics in collaboration with Event Production and Venue Liaisons for Conference sessions, including setup/strike, catering, tech, etc.

  • Deliver, receive, and distribute materials and equipment necessary for programming team

  • Assist with creating and distributing itineraries for guests

  • Provide on-site support for Conference sessions and events as needed

RATE OF PAY:

  • $21.00/Hourly

TARGET CONTRACT DATES:

  • August 18, 2025 - September 14, 2025

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a film or event production environment

  • Previous festival or event planning experience considered an asset

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma (in Film Studies or a related area considered an asset)

  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail

  • Mature personal judgment, exhibiting a high level of professionalism and diplomacy

  • Able to handle difficult situations and people with tact and professionalism

  • Excellent phone manner, communication fluency and interpersonal strengths

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Google Suite applications, and relational databases (experience with Artifax considered an asset)

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to work and respond well in fast-paced and high pressure environments

  • Fluency in a second language considered an asset
