The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a full-time Office/Assistant Manager to work with and support the daily administrative operations of our hospital with our Hospital Manager. This permanent role is perfect for someone who thrives in a leadership position, enjoys working with people and animals, and brings a strong focus on organization, communication, and business efficiency.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee the day-to-day administrative and front-office operations of the hospital.
  • Provide leadership and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive workplace.
  • Collaborate closely with the Hospital Manager to ensure smooth staffing, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Deliver exceptional client service by handling escalations and ensuring follow-ups are completed with care.
  • Collaborate and support the Hospital Manager with hiring, onboarding, training, and development of staff to help them succeed in their roles.
  • Monitor office systems, maintain hospital policies, and ensure procedural compliance.
  • Manage hospital supplies, inventory control, and budget tracking.
  • Assist in local marketing and client engagement strategies to support hospital growth.
  • Champion a positive team culture and address concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Take ownership of special projects and administrative tasks that contribute to the smooth running of the clinic.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in office management, team leadership, or a similar administrative role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you lead with empathy and clarity.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • A hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Passion for animals and appreciation for the people who care for them.
  • Comfortable with technology and administrative software.

It's a Bonus If You Have:

  • Previous experience in veterinary, healthcare, or hospitality environments.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems, budgeting, and goal setting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, PIMS software, or Ceridian Dayforce.
