Job summary

Willow Park Golf & Country Club in Calgary is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Golf Professional to join our private club team. This seasonal position offers a chance to develop skills in member service, instruction, and event programming while working closely with the Head Golf Professional.

Qualifications

  • PGA of Canada membership or enrollment in the professional program is necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of golf, including rules, etiquette, and basic instruction.
  • Ability to handle a wide range of tasks while effectively prioritizing workloads based on members' needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, professional service to members and guests.
  • Assist with daily golf operations, including tee time management & pace of play monitoring.
  • Assist with organizing and conducting club tournaments, leagues, events, and competitions.
  • Assist with junior golf programs, clinics, and player-development initiatives.
  • Support the operation and presentation of the golf shop.
  • Assist with merchandising, inventory, and retail sales.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, rules, and etiquette.
  • Provide individual and group golf instruction as appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with members and contribute to a welcoming club atmosphere.
  • Maintain a professional presence throughout the golf course, practice areas, and clubhouse.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as experience and knowledge develop.

Location Willow Park Golf & Country Club Posted 2026-09-28 Deadline 2026-12-15 Job Summary Reporting to the Head Golf Professional & working within the golf operations team, the Golf Professional will assist with the day-to-day operation of the golf department while developing their skills in member service, tournaments, retail, golf programming, and instruction.
