Overview

Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Hire, train and develop departmental support staff
  2. Execute business plan and communicate objectives to support staff
  3. Ensure superior performance in all associate and customer satisfaction areas
  4. Responsible for company training and certification in all compliance areas
  5. Establish quality assurance criteria for all service and production aspects of business
  6. Manage all departmental productivity and performance expectations
  7. Support route sales, service, production and administrative agendas
  8. Accurately report, define and action market changes
  9. Manage acceptable performance standards in sales, merchandise management, growth, retention and customer satisfaction
  10. Manage office / clerical functions including invoice reconciliation, invoice printing, report monitoring as well as database management and maintenance
  11. Promote safety, security and self-development
  12. Support an empowered, self-directed team concept

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 5 years' route management experience preferred
  2. Bachelor’s degree required
  3. Clean driving record
  4. Strong organizational, development, and presentation skills
  5. Ability to work independently
  6. Ability to analyze sales opportunities and determine customer needs assessment
  7. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, motivational, and customer service skills
  8. Strong motivation, initiative and experience with execution of effective sales and retention performance programs
  9. Detail-oriented with excellent follow up, creativity, problem solving, conflict management, organizational, written and oral communication skills
  10. Understanding of report and performance tracking mechanisms a plus
  11. Proficient with MS Office, general PC applications, Excel a plus
  12. Lean Six Sigma experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to manage a route environment
  2. Ability to train new hires as needed
  3. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs
  4. Ability to tolerate moderate traffic scenarios on a weekly basis
  5. Ability to manage and maintain a consistent physical work flow
  6. Position requires strong time management skills as well as a results-oriented service mentality
