Job summary

Country Grocer in Chemainus is seeking an Assistant Front End Manager to join our team. You will lead the front-end team, hire and train staff, and support scheduling and inventory. This full‑time role reports to the Store Manager and Front End Manager, with opportunities to grow through performance and dedicated leadership.

The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, plus a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory/front-end role. Evening and weekend availability is needed.

• Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience in a Front-end department.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for motivating and guiding a team.

The Job

• Reporting to the Store Manager and Front End Manager, you’ll help oversee daily operations of the Front-End department to ensure an exceptional level of customer service is maintained
• You’ll hire, train, manage and motivate a team to ensure efficiency and productivity
• You’ll support daily scheduling needs and coordination
• You’ll support ordering and inventory of lottery and tobacco
• You’ll support with communicating to your team on performance, policies and pertinent issues

Pay for this job:

Pay: CA$23.50-CA$30.00 per hour

Starting Range: $23.50-$25.25
Most new team members start within this range, depending on their experience and skills.

Growth Range: Up to $30.00
