Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day operations including administration, staffing, scheduling and training.
• Assist in administration, staffing, rentals, set‑up, and execution of catered events.
• Liaise between guests, employees, and management to identify operational efficiencies and enhance guest experience.
• Support office administration by generating reports, entering invoices, online inventory, ordering.
• Support retail operations and drive sales including product ordering; POS, inventory, marketing, vending, and satellite locations for offsite events.
• Support all Aramark policies and Health & Safety programs and help implement Aramark initiatives.
• Support administration, food service, catering, housekeeping, and facility management departments as required.

Aramark is recruiting an experienced Assistant Food Service Manager to support our culinary and catering operations at a private school in Toronto. This role supports our teams and daily food service for the students and faculty, and assists other departments as required. Culinary experiences and well‑maintained environments are fundamental to student success. From brain‑powering ingredients to comforting flavor combinations, nutritious food doesn’t have to be boring. Aramark chefs and dietitians are constantly reviewing the latest insights and food trends to find the next culinary innovation and help students discover their love of food.

We partner with you to enhance the student experience, support parents, and collaborate with administration, all while delivering on the expectations of parents and the community.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the day‑to‑day operations including administration, staffing, scheduling and training
• Assist in the administration, staffing, rentals, set‑up, and execution of catered events
• Liaise between event guests, employees, and management to identify operational efficiencies and enhance guest experience
• Support office administration by generating reports, entering invoices, on‑line inventory, ordering
• Support retail operations and drive sales including product ordering Point of Sale (POS), inventory management, marketing initiatives, vending machine, and satellite retail locations for offsite events
• Support all Aramark policies and procedures, Health and Safety programs; coordinate the Health and Safety, and help implement Aramark programs and initiatives
• Support the administration, food service, catering, housekeeping, and facility management departments as required

Qualifications

• Post‑graduate diploma or degree in Hospitality, Business, or Administration is preferred
• Previous catering and events experience is preferred
• Must be organized and detail‑oriented to perform administrative tasks and generate reports
• Advanced computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• The ability to learn new applications and navigate systems for POS, inventory and ordering
• Must demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to shift priorities to support other departments as required

The salary for this position is $53,045 - $55,000 per annum
