Job description

What will you do in this job?
  • Ensure the smooth running of daily operations for the hotel restaurant and special events, including banquets.
  • Supervise staff and ensure customer expectations are exceeded at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and food hygiene standards in food and beverage areas.
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and management of staff.
  • Manage inventory, oversee proper unpacking and storage, and ensure accuracy in monthly counts.
  • Address customer complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Oversee food storage and dining areas, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.
  • Contribute to cocktail creation and menu development.
  • Lead and execute weddings, conferences, and signature events with attention to detail.
  • Handle daily billing and financial responsibilities accurately.
  • Communicate daily on guest feedback, employee performance, and shift notes.
What skills and experience do you need for this job?
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and split shifts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Highly organized with multitasking abilities.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related field is a strong asset.
  • At least 2 years in the hotel or restaurant industry, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of MICROS or similar POS systems is an asset.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses, certificates, or permits.
