Job description

The Assistant Fitness Manager is responsible for the sales and service of new Members. They must assist the Fitness Manager in maintaining a high standard of professionalism, results-based programming, and profitability in the Personal Training Department. This role is designed to develop Assistant Fitness Managers into Fitness Managers within one year.

What will you be doing?

  • Achieving monthly premium and secondary product sales targets and close rates
  • Ensuring all new members are inducted to Personal Training offerings in the club
  • Leading their assigned Personal Trainers through coaching and development to achieve Club Key Performance Indicators
  • Participating or leading development activities, trainings and meetings to grow their skills
  • Completing Personal Training administration
  • Building and maintaining your own client list
  • Training your clients so they achieve their health and fitness goals
  • Working closely with all departments in the club to enhance overall club culture

Do you have what it takes?

  • Must have current, nationally recognized Personal Training certification
  • Minimum 1 year Personal Training experience
  • Proven success in leading, training and motivating diverse teams to achieve performance goals
  • Success in achieving individual and team service and sales goals
  • Skilled in customer service, building great relationships and influencing others
  • Passion for helping others, and a commitment to personal health and fitness
  • Committed to contributing to a culture that celebrates diversity, equity & inclusion and values giving back to communities
