Assistant Equipment Solutions Manager

SUMMARY

Mortenson is seeking an Assistant Equipment Solutions Manager to partner with Equipment Solutions Managers, providing support and leadership within the Equipment Solutions Group. This role is based at our Energy and Infrastructure facility in Northwood, IA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage and organize owned equipment, storage, and tooling.
  2. Plan and schedule equipment with internal project teams, equipment solutions teams, and third-party vendors.
  3. Oversee large inventory management.
  4. Manage rental software contracts.
  5. Plan equipment logistics.
  6. Maintain vendor relations.
  7. Understand construction equipment maintenance, opportunities, constraints, and requirements.
  8. Implement process improvements for warehouse and equipment yard using 5S strategies.
  9. Lead departmental initiatives including development, training, and support.
  10. Manage a team of craft and non-craft members.
  11. Encourage innovation through new process development.
  12. Perform interior and exterior responsibilities as required.
  13. Travel expectation: 25%.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum 4 years' experience in construction, equipment, supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and materials.

Salary Range : $96,400 - $130,100, with higher ranges for specific locations (Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Washington, D.C.) based on location adjustments. Salary positioning considers experience, skills, and internal equity.
