Position: Assistant Early Childhood Educator – Full-Time

Temporary Position – October 31, 2025

Location: Current Assignment: Qayqayt Children’s Centre

(at FW Howay Elementary) – 91 Courtney Crescent, New Westminster

Salary: $19.36/hour (ECE Assistant Licence) or

$24.90/hour (ECE Licence/includes $6.00 ECE Wage Enhancement)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications: Current ECE Assistant or ECE License to practice

Current First Aid and CPR for Children Certificate

Required criminal record search

Doctor’s note attesting candidate is fit to work with young children

Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to work flexible schedules

Working knowledge of child growth and development

Ability to plan programs for children 0 to 5 years

Ability to work with children with challenging behaviour an asset

Previous work experience in childcare environment

Specifications: Six-month probation period for new hires (3 months trial period for

existing permanent employees)
