Steamoji Kelowna is seeking a dynamic, results-driven professional to serve as our Assistant Director, Sales & Enrollment. In this role, you will be the key driver in converting prospective families into enrolled students. You’ll oversee the entire sales pipeline — from initial inquiry and lead follow-up to in-person trial sessions and immediate enrollment — while also supporting day-to-day center operations. Responsibilities
- Proactively follow up with all inbound leads (phone, email, walk-ins) to schedule trial sessions and center tours.
- Conduct compelling, personalized tours and trial experiences for prospective families.
- Consistently and confidently “ask for the sale” to secure on-the-spot enrollments.
- Track and report on enrollment metrics, ensuring monthly and quarterly targets are met or exceeded.
- Develop and execute local sales initiatives (e.g., school outreach, community events, partnerships) to drive brand awareness and generate leads.
- Collaborate with the Center Director and marketing team on campaigns, promotions, and lead-generation activities.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM or database of leads, contacts, and enrollment statuses.
Center Operations & Management
- Support the Center Director in the day-to-day operations of the academy, ensuring an organized, welcoming environment for students and families.
- Provide ongoing staff training / coaching related to customer service and enrollment processes.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with parents by consistently communicating the value and benefits of the Steamoji programs.
Strategic Collaboration & Improvement
- Work closely with the Center Director to forecast enrollment, set sales goals, and refine outreach strategies.
- Regularly assess and improve sales scripts, trial session protocols, and tour experiences based on feedback and performance data.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1+ years of proven success in a sales, enrollment, or business development role (experience in education or children’s programs is a plus).
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a client-facing environment.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the confidence to ask for the commitment on the spot.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to build rapport with parents and students.
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude with the ability to motivate and lead by example.
Organizational & Leadership Skills
- Capable of juggling multiple tasks—such as scheduling, event coordination, and follow-up calls—without losing focus on sales goals.
- Willingness to step into a leadership role, guiding part-time staff and assisting the Center Director in running daily operations.
Tech & Analytical Skills
- Comfortable using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and other sales tracking tools.
- Ability to interpret data and metrics to refine enrollment strategies.
