Position Summary




The main purpose of this position is to: 1) administer approx. $1.1 million post-graduate fellowship program, including student and employer counseling, payment, follow-up and tracking to new employment; 2) manage employment statistics at graduation and 10 months out and ensure compliance with ABA/US News/NALP reporting requirements; 3) track and maintain accurate lists of 1L and 2L summer employment data and 3L post-graduate employment data; 4) implement a robust Job Development program in order to increase the number of employment postings; 5) strategically coordinate with other offices to ensure accurate summer and post-graduate employment data; 6) create and manage effective and consistent communications regarding the services, programs and resources of the OCS to current students, prospective students, employers and various reporting agencies; 7) assist with large scale educational programs, fairs and panels; and 8) assist the career counselors in preparing current students with summer and post-graduate employment positions through resume reviews and mock interviews.






Qualifications




Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Higher Education, Student Affairs, Communications or Counseling

Required Experience:
3+ years

Preferred Experience:
Junior level position in legal academic setting, higher education more generally, or recruiting or program management in private sector.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of the legal employment market and the employment reporting standards and definitions required by the ABA, US News and NALP. Knowledge of the auditing protocols for employment data as promulgated by the ABA. Ability to conduct statistical analysis of data and budget analysis. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Career Services Manager. Ability to independently draft correspondence and manage complex conversations with high levels of University administrators, students and employers.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of the legal employment market and the employment reporting standards and definitions required by the ABA, US News and NALP. Comprehensive knowledge of the auditing protocols for employment data as promulgated by the ABA.






Additional Information




In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $89,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
