Assistant Director, Housekeeping

Creating an engaging work environment for colleagues at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is as important as turning moments into special memories for our guests. The standards and values you model as Assistant Director, Housekeeping will inspire your team to ensure exceptional guest rooms, public areas, and heart-of-the-house areas, while also supporting their career growth within Fairmont.

Salary Range : $68,000 - $72,000 per annum, based on experience

Your Job Duties Include :

  1. Lead and coach the Housekeeping Team to provide exceptional guest service, colleague satisfaction, and profitability.
  2. Assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining Fairmont and FORBES standards, including Leading Quality Assurance (LQA). Be responsible for upholding LQA standards and achieving related goals.
  3. Provide leadership support to ensure high morale and productivity through workforce planning, recruitment, training, development, and ongoing communication, including performance reviews and coaching.
  4. Promote departmental goals and measures that balance guest satisfaction, colleague satisfaction, stakeholder interests, and brand standards.
  5. Lead guest recovery efforts by addressing comments and concerns, and establish tracking systems to identify root causes of issues.
  6. Assist with renovation projects related to guestrooms and other areas as assigned.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include :

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Housekeeping Management role within a luxury establishment, such as a Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
  • University degree or diploma in Hospitality or a related field is an asset.
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License required.
  • Experience managing within a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Excellent administrative, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Opera PMS, REX/HOTSOS-AMADEUS, and Microsoft Office programs.

Visa Requirements : Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel cannot assist with obtaining Canadian work authorization.
