Job description

We currently have opportunities for the Assistant Department Manager, Pharmacy, a developmental position designed to prepare individuals for the responsibilities of a Pharmacy Manager. This role includes:

  1. Ensuring the pharmacy complies with all standards set by the provincial pharmacy regulatory body and legislative requirements.
  2. Fostering professionalism, good business practices, and a strong work ethic.
  3. Managing pharmacy operations with a focus on staff productivity, training, team building, and payroll management.
  4. Resource planning to address staffing needs, performance standards, and staff development.
  5. Communicating and executing company policies, programs, and initiatives effectively.
  6. Maintaining inventory control and implementing measures for effective stock management.
  7. Growing the pharmacy business by increasing sales and profits.

This position also involves significant customer service, requiring the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while providing professional, courteous, and helpful service.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with 2-3 years of pharmacy experience.
  • Strong supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High self-motivation and resourcefulness.
  • Good organizational skills and diligence.
  • Good business sense.
