Save-On-Foods in Fort St. James, BC is hiring an Assistant Department Manager for the Centre of Store. The role requires open availability and a 40-hour work week. You will lead a team, coach colleagues, and ensure exceptional customer service while aligning with company standards.

The position emphasizes training, development, and performance management to retain staff and grow leaders from within. A Food Safe certification enhances candidacy and suggests readiness for day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Food Safe Certification required or asset.
• Ability to lead and coach a team and drive customer-focused service.
• Demonstrates strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.

Responsabilités

• Assist with leading a team, acting as a coach and resource to team members.
• Foster a positive environment focused on Always Customer First service.
• Engage and retain team members through training and development, performance management, rewards/recognition, and leadership development.
• Communicate important messages with the team.
• Develop entrepreneurial strategies using knowledge of the community, competition, and industry.
• Take count of stock levels and ensure correct stock quantities.

We are hiring for an Assistant Department Manager, Centre of Store at our location in Fort St. James, BC.

The successful candidate must have open availability and be available for 40 hours per week.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting with leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
• Fostering a positive environment that is focused on Always Customer First service.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training and development, performance management, rewards/recognition and the identification and development of future leaders.
• Communicating important messages with the team.
• Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
• Taking count of the correct amount of stock.

You have:

• Previous retail or customer service experience (considered an asset).
• Food Safe Certification.
• A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.

Compensation Details:

$19.25 - $22.60
