Job summary

Save-On-Foods, part of Pattison Food Group, is hiring an Assistant Department Manager, Bakery at our Clayton Save-On-Foods location in Surrey, BC. You will lead a bakery team, coach staff, and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining department standards.

The role requires open availability for 40 hours per week, with compensation in the $19.25–$22.60 per hour range. Food Safe Certification and prior retail or customer service experience are assets, and you should be ready to go the

We are hiring for an Assistant Department Manager, Bakery at our Clayton Save‑On‑Foods location in Surrey, BC.

The successful candidate must have open availability and be available for 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
• Fostering a positive environment that is focused on Always Customer First service.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training and development, performance management, rewards/recognition and the identification and development of future leaders.
• Communicating important messages with the team.
• Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
• Taking count of the correct amount of stock.

Requirements

Compensation

$19.25 - $22.60. The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
