Job description

The Impact You Will Have

Canada Cartage is seeking a finance leader for its Corporate accounting role. The successful candidate will report to the Corporate Controller and support all aspects of the Partnership’s financial reporting processes and controls, as well as manage the Corporate Accounts Payable team.

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Schedule: 40 hours - Monday to Friday

What You Will Do
  • Corporate Reporting & Accounting: Prepare consolidated financial statements for over 50 legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate internal and external reporting (GAAP and management reporting). Lead the preparation of legal entity financials for tax and debt covenant reporting. Maintain and improve controls within Microsoft Dynamics GP and Management Reporter. Identify and resolve financial reporting issues. Support year-end audits and related processes.
  • Tax & Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and manage tax rebate processes and government filings.
  • Accounts Payable Oversight: Lead the Accounts Payable team, review cash projections, and support banking transactions.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to enhance controls and reporting. Support team development and act as a key contact during audits and initiatives.
