Job description

Job Title: Assistant Coordinator - YMCA Windsor Outside School Hours Care

The Y Queensland stands together with all people regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or belief.

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Windsor Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). This is a permanent, part-time position.

Your working hours will be 34.5 hours per week during the school term and up to 38 hours during vacation care.

About The Role

In this position, you will assist the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and the management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, including the Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager, and OSHC Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Developing quality programs
  • Managing the daily operations of the programs
  • Supporting staff management
  • Ensuring policy compliance
  • Handling administrative tasks
  • Collaborating with families and the school community
Qualifications and Experience
  • Completed (or actively studying) relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children’s Services)
  • Experience in programming and a passion for quality childcare
  • Experience in administration and documentation in an OSHC setting
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • Blue Card or willingness to obtain
  • NQF knowledge is advantageous
