Go Auto is looking for an Assistant Controller in Richmond! This is an opportunity to advance within Go Auto's accounting team and be involved in all phases of ongoing operations, internal controls, and a fantastic team environment.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Controller, you will work closely with the VP, General Manager, and Department Managers, and be responsible for:

  • Overall responsibility for the assets of the dealership in conjunction with the General Manager
  • Overseeing staff for day-to-day accounting
  • Playing an integral role in accounting processes, including posting deals and scheduling cleans, depending on store size
  • Finalizing statements and submitting them to banks and manufacturers
  • Managing inventory financing and adhering to financial institution rules regarding payouts
  • Counting inventory – vehicles and parts
  • Preparing year-end working papers
  • Overseeing payroll for the store and managing the payroll clerk
  • Ensuring adequate training and development of staff and self to meet operational and franchise requirements, including Go Auto University

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the automotive industry is an asset
  • Experience with CDK software is preferred
