POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Controller will manage the Accounting department with day-to-day operations and the execution of month-end close. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage budgets and strategic decision-making to optimize financial performance for the company. In addition, this role will shape the Accounting department's function within the company to add value to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage daily accounting operations involving the G/L, Payroll, A/P, and A/R functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
2. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and analyses to assist strategic decision-making. Provide reporting packages to the senior leadership team and external stakeholders as requested.
3. Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of Netsuite financial modules (G/L, A/P, A/R, ARM, and Reporting) and validate integrations with Salesforce, Concur, Bill.com and other third-party systems.
4. Ensure proper application of ASC 606 guidance in the Advanced Revenue Management module, and partner with Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations to optimize deal structures and revenue policies.
5. Lead the annual audit process by coordinating requests internally, creating schedules, and drafting financial statements for review by external auditors.
6. Work with external tax consultants on federal and state tax compliance and reporting, including multi-state sales and use tax returns.
7. Provide mentorship and training for the accounting team to establish best practices, and foster collaboration and professional growth in a remote working environment.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business, system, or process changes and their impacts on company operations and results.
9. Maintain capitalization table in Carta for offerings, debt conversions, warrants and stock option grants.
10. Conduct research and draft memos to support the company's position on technical accounting matters.

Skills and Competencies:

1. Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
2. Prior experience with Netsuite ERP, with advanced knowledge of the ARM module.
3. Analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
4. Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical staff.
6. Capacity to multi-task and properly manage various deadlines.

Experience and Qualifications:

1. Active CPA license.
2. Self-starter with a "can do" attitude.
3. Bachelor's degree with relevant major (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields).
4. Multi-state payroll experience.
5. Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting.
6. Experience with financial reporting standards and technical accounting guidelines.

Compensation: USD $130,000 - $150,000 per year.

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
