Qualifications

We provide services covering various types of drilling, particularly in Canada, West Africa, and the U.S. To support our continued growth, we are looking for an Accounting Assistant Controller to join our team based in Sherbrooke.

As an Assistant Controller, you will be crucial in managing financial operations and overseeing the company’s financial performance. You will work closely with our Chief Financial Officer to ensure the accuracy of accounting information and compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Perform financial analyses and prepare reports for management
  • Manage financial records for shareholder management companies
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Respond to information requests, inventory management, projects, and work orders

REQUIREMENTS

Degree : Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting

Status : Completed

Years of Experience : 1 to 3 years

Spoken French : 5 / 5

Spoken English : 4 / 5

COMPETENCIES

Qualifications :

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Be thorough and autonomous in the execution of tasks
  • Possess excellent teamwork skills and be dynamic
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrate accountability and actively contribute to effective change management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French (English is an asset)
  • Good proficiency with computer systems, including the Office suite (advanced Excel), Acomba, and CaseWare
