Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conduct monthly variance and trend analyses.
- Support budget preparation and forecasting processes.
- General Ledger and Account Reconciliation
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Review posted journal entries for accuracy.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Compliance and Internal Controls
- Ensure financial practices comply with policies and regulations.
- Assist in maintaining and documenting internal controls and procedures.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable Support
- Oversee AP/AR processes, including invoice processing, payments, and collections.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
- Audit Support
- Prepare schedules and audit working papers.
- Respond to auditor inquiries and assist with audit recommendations.
- System and Process Improvement
- Assist with accounting software implementation and upgrades.
- Recommend improvements to procedures and workflows.
- Other
- Complete special projects or analyses as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- CPA designation or working towards it.
- Minimum of 3 years of senior accounting or finance experience.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP).
- Knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
