Job summary

Noramtec Consultants Inc. in downtown Montreal is seeking an Assistant Controller to join the finance team and support month-end closes. You will assist with bank reconciliations, AR/AP cycles, GST/QST remittances, and overall financial reporting in a multi-currency, multi-company environment.

The role requires 4 days in the office, bilingual French and English, and strong Excel skills. You will contribute to accurate financial data and compliance within a dynamic recruitment and HR solutions

Qualifications

• Comfortable with Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Able to operate in a multi-currency and multi-company environment.
• 4+ years experience or an accounting education with related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end closings.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Manage full accounts payable cycle from invoices to payments.
• Handle accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and remit GST/QST monthly.
• Apply GST/QST rules to ITCs and ITRs.
• Use accounting systems to manage financial data and reporting.

• Reporting to the controller, aiding them in tasks including but not limited to; month end and year end closings.
• Perform and take responsibility over bank reconciliations.
• Managing the full cycle of accounts payable from entering invoice to processing payments.
• Handle the cycle of accounts receivable.
• Prepare and remit GST/QST on a monthly basis.
• Apply knowledge of GST/QST rules in order to properly claim ITCs & ITR’s.
• Work proficiently with accounting systems to manage financial data and reporting.

Qualifications

• Comfortability with Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Can operate effectively in a multi-currency and multi-company environment.
• Ideal candidates should have 4+ years experience or a combination of accounting education & experience in similar roles.
