Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading and managing the monthly, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with accounting policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports, variance analyses, and forecasts.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll functions.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including department collaboration.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Partner with external auditors for year-end audits and tax filings.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in financial systems, tools, and workflows, and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable financial regulations and corporate policies.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Previous experience supervising a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills, ERP experience preferred (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SAP).

Accounting Expertise : Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and procedures, with the ability to apply best practices to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Analytical Mindset : Skilled in interpreting financial data, identifying trends or anomalies, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of reporting.

Time Management : Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively while consistently meeting deadlines.

Detail-Oriented : Exceptional ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in financial records, with a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and recommending corrective actions as needed.

Problem Solving : Capable of evaluating financial issues and providing thoughtful, data-driven recommendations to enhance processes and support team objectives.

Leadership : Able to guide and support team members within the finance department, fostering a collaborative environment while ensuring operational efficiency and accountability.
