JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Coach, Varsity Women’s Basketball, plays a pivotal role in supporting the success and ongoing development of Ontario Tech University's Women's basketball program. Reporting to the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach is responsible for contributing to the athletic and personal growth of student-athletes, maintaining a competitive team environment, and upholding the values and mission of the University.
Key responsibilities include leading recruitment strategies, supporting team operations and program management, and assisting in planning and delivering high-quality coaching sessions. The Assistant Coach is expected to actively contribute to the creation of a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven team culture. In addition, the role involves administrative oversight, community engagement, and collaboration with the Athletic Department to ensure program success at the provincial and national level.
This position requires a strong commitment to student-athlete development, compliance with Ontario Tech and governing body regulations, and a proactive approach to building a reputable and sustainable varsity sport program.
