Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a professional discipline related to fire prevention with sustained leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day fire prevention services for a major Canadian city.
• Provide leadership to prevention branch staff and ensure effective supervision.
• Plan strategically and apply evidence-based decision making to operations and plans.
• Promote public safety and lead programs to reduce risk of injury in the community.
• Manage bargaining unit staff and coordinate delivery of prevention services.
