A leading grocery retailer in York Region seeks an Assistant Buyer to support the Buying team by liaising with suppliers and generating reports. The ideal candidate has completed post-secondary education in Business or Marketing, possesses strong communication skills in English and Chinese, and has a passion for Asian grocery products. Qualifications

• Knowledge, passion, and awareness of Asian grocery products is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Some experience handling overseas suppliers is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist buying team with local and overseas vendors.
• Generate periodic or ad hoc reports related to sales and inventory.
• Prepare marketing materials, including translations in English and Chinese.
