A leading market in Red Deer is looking for a Bakery Assistant Team Lead to oversee and enhance bakery operations. The role involves supervising team members, ensuring product quality, training staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service. Candidates should have experience in a commercial bakery and ideal education in Baking & Pastry Arts.
The Bakery Assistant Team Lead organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the operations of the bakery department. You will supervise, coach, and coordinate the activities of Team Members who produce, portion, and serve various bakery products, and assure that all objectives and goals of the department and store, as communicated by the Market Manager, and leadership team, are met or exceeded. You will ensure a positive company image by providing legendary customer service and exceptional leadership!

Working Conditions :
Standing and / or walking for extended periods of time.
Some exposure to temperature variations and wet conditions.
May walk and work on uneven surfaces.
Working around hot surfaces (grills, stoves, ovens, etc.)
Working with knives and slicing machines
Requires some reaching above and below shoulder height.
Repetitive use of hands with power grasping and fine manipulation.
Repetitive stretching and lifting required.
Lifting of items up to 40 pounds (over 40 requires a team lift)
WHIMS and Food Safety certification requirement (Sunterra will provide online training)
