Are you a part-qualified accountant looking to build a career in a fast-paced, multi-business environment? Are you ready to take ownership of your own portfolio and support accurate, high-quality reporting in a collaborative finance team?

We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant (R2R) to join our growing finance team at ClearCourse. Working alongside our Senior R2R Accountants, you’ll play a vital role in month-end close, cash flow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial reporting across several businesses.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking to deepen their technical skills, gain experience across multiple business units, and be part of a fast-scaling group with a strong record of acquisitions and innovation.

What You’ll Be Doing
  1. Execute monthly close processes for 1–2 business entities in line with ClearCourse governance and Group deadlines
  2. Prepare and manage bi-weekly cash flow forecasts for review
  3. Handle balance sheet reconciliations and review discrepancies
  4. Perform bank account reconciliations weekly and resolve outstanding items
  5. Liaise with other SSC teams and business leaders to understand business performance and key transactions
  6. Respond to audit queries and prepare documentation as required
  7. Assist with ad hoc reporting, providing insights and financial data to support the wider business
  8. Identify and implement process improvements with support from the R2R Process Lead
  9. Collaborate with the Senior R2R Accountant on key issues and risks across your entities
What We’re Looking For
  1. Part-qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  2. Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite desirable)
  3. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
  4. Good understanding of core accounting principles
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  6. Experience working in a multi-business environment is highly desirable
  7. Effective communication and relationship-building skills
  8. Positive, proactive attitude with a desire to learn and develop
  9. Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team
